does anyone able to kill that scary one eye sea monster? its really scary. I can't complete all the fish in that area.

It cannot be killed, but if simply outmaneuvering it is proving a bit tricky (highly recommend getting explosives to smash down some shortcuts, as it will not follow you through those paths even if they're open so you can easily just duck inside a little ways and then wait for it to pass), there is something later on which can scare it off.

It follows the same path, my advice, go to a dock which is close to his path (there are two close) and wait sleeping until you see the color of the screen turn red, then it is close, stop dreaming and let the sea serpent go. You can either follow from behind to the get max time on whatevr zone you need, ro go to another place when you know it is swiming in other place.

I came here to just find a post on this mean SOB. He keeps wrecking my fun. It's hilarious, but I was thinking I was doing it wrong with being crazy at night. Turns out it's just living there.

He's pretty scary, especially if you have the beginner ship hull and can only take a few hits. You might panic and run into rocks as he chases you and then get sunk by him. But the best you can do is trick him or run away. Just have to steel your nerves! I recommend keeping Haste on hotkey so if he comes after you, you can point your nose at an escape and punch it!

Haste is really good. I also ended up upgrading my boat from him. It was a grind. I must have tried getting that eel quest like 8 times and each time something went wrong, from the fish to my eel getting parasites lol one time I got it, forgot I had it, drove back to my crab pot in the first zone and it turned to mush.

Really shouldn't be going to that zone without a T2 boat IMO.

Doesn't take long to upgrade either because Marrow's fish will easily pay for each upgrade rapidly, whilst the builder quest takes you to a resource farming area with a dock, so you have the materials right there.

if it makes you feel better I think hes one of the harder ones due to not having a lot of strong upgrades at that time. The next 2 regions are much easier and I think less stressful.

I didn't even figure out how to use research parts before I was partway through cruising around the Stellar Basin... And I'd done it before in the demo!
