Is it possible to unlock all the researches during one playthrough?

I'm close to the final and there are about 10 research parts missing in different branches. The merchant doesn't sell any part anymore, all the quests which provide some parts are done, some spots at the locations are clear too. Where can we find more?

Just try sleeping at the traveling merchant dock and then check and see if she has one for sale. If she doesn't, just rinse and repeat.

yeah, in midgame this works, but in late sleeping is not helping, maybe merchant has a limited ammount of parts

Random dredge locations occasionally drop them as well I found out - the ones with wood, cloth etc.
It might be limited to 1 per location - I could not get multiple drops from the same spot (or maybe I did not insist enough)

keep going! take me 3 houres to get the last 8 research points, between dredge and merchant. (but lots of dredge in the initial islands)

Just 100%'ed the game, this is the absolute fastest way to get research points late game (assuming you've completed everything else and can't easily get RP from, say, traveling merchant's fish quest):

Go to a traveling merchant, check her inventory, if she doesn't have anything then savequit and come back in. Check inventory. Rinse and repeat. Once she has one, sleep, check again, and repeat the process. I got 10 RP's in about 20 (tedious) minutes but that would have taken waaaay longer if I went dredging.

You can combine this strategy with dropping crab pots next to the merchant to generate income while you are sleeping.

Thanks for strategy, as for me, I've simply returned to initial island and started dredging and, luckily, at every second spot I've got 2-3 RP's in a row. so it was not too long

Yeah i drop two-three of those final upgraded crab pots near every merchant out post. Every time i revisit those locations i get a bit more money, even though i dont need it. Got all my boat upgrades before i finished a singe one of those island location quests
