- A lot of PC-first RPGs have things like that in their pre-order or deluxe versions. Look up Fallout: New Vegas Courier's Stash for instance.
- I have the impression certain grindy jRPGs have lots of 'pay to grind less' "DLC", though those are less likely to be viewed positively.
I'm not a fan, no, and wouldn't give money for that. But it's neither novel nor particularly mobile-oriented.
Then I just drifted away from what happening in world of games.... Didn't play games for long time... And was used to see unique content in DLCs....
Just imagine how awesome real additional content can be in game like that? If, for example, this heart-motor didn't just "make boat go brrrrr", but allowed you to go on land for 3 second with huge spider legs....
DLC that provides an item or items is exactly that - a DLC. MTX is a continuous flow of cash that constantly provide bonuses and there's no way to end it. It's a constant inflow of money, that you can always continue as a player.
You tried your best to being an attention ho-ho-ho. Good job, I guess.
I think I didn't understand that then. The problem is, I gladly will buy "i like your game and think you deserve a bit more money" DLC, because I really like this game. But I would like to know what it is what that DLC is before buying, to buy it with different emotion inside.
