Best Way to get Research Points Post-Game?

I've beaten the main game and am toodling around trying to fill out the rest of the encyclopedia. All I need is something only caught by oceanic trawler, and I have approximately 0 spare research points. I think I've hit most of the lootable locations on the islands. I've pulled up a rare occasional research point in dredge spots. Is grinding dredge spots the only option for getting the last points I need, or is there another way to get them?

Keep fishing dredge spots until empty. They have a chance to drop Research Parts. Like 1 in 5 I would assume.

After a certain point I had so many Research Parts from dredge and the Traveling Merchant that I was done with Research even though I was still getting additional Research Parts from side quests and predetermined loot spots in Devil's Spine. Had to toss those.

Easiest way I've found is to go to, I believe its called Steel Point just a ways away from Greater Marrow where you dropped the builder chick off, there are three dredge spots right there within a few feet of her dock, dredge them all, exit the game, relaunch it, rinse and repeat.
