Sunfish and Moonfish locations?

Anybody know exact coords for these two? They're the last fish I need to complete my encyclopedia and "open ocean" is somewhat vague.
Not found em yet despite spending days zooming around it looking.
I know sunfish is day and moonfish is night btw

I don't think there are "exact coords" in this game, unless it comes to elite fish.

I think there are since theres nearly always a sailfish spawn west of greater marrow, the wreckfish always spawn in 3 locations at shipwrecks (I think) in gale cliffs, theres a couple ghost and pale skate spawns in devils spine that always seem to be there (when not depleted of course), theres a searobin spawn right next to the charred pontoon and a frilled shark near the ancient temple, among other examples
Even then, knowing which island the moon/sun fish are near would help

Oh! I just found out you can use bait in the open sea to get both the sun/moon fish and their aberrations!

You are totally on point with this one. Helps to get the Viperfish abbs as well. You don't even have to go far out either, I just went deep-water off the coast from the Rickety Pontoon and the lighthouse, spammed that bait, kept a few fish to restock fish and I was done.

Unfortunately sailfish is a different issue, they wont appear with bait (well not for me anyway). I even tried the Marrow deep water, no joy.

Ok - belay the Sailfish bait issue! A large spawn of Sailfish are just NW from Steel Point (when you make that node anyway). I threw the bait in that area and they appeared on the rotation. Now just to get the abb version...

I was able to find Sunfish at the intersect of O7,8 and P7,8. Then the Moonfish at the intersect of I14,15 and J14,15.

If you have the Atrophy skill, it has an extremely high chance of aberrations, so I recommend using that to finish the Encyclopedia.

Had to come back here because I was having the same issue and wanted to thank you guys for the info. Though for the abberant sunfish i still had an easier time using atrophy on a dedicated sunfish spawn. Bait also seems to increase your chance of trophies, a lot, and you can get both sun and moon fish regardless of the time of day which was nice.

I'm late to this party but came to find the same thing. No one seems to have commented two of the spots I found yet, which are Sunfish at the intersect of P5,Q5 and Moonfish around the top-middle of K3.

I also just found a Sunfish at the bottom-left of Q9. Sunfish seem to take a long time to respawn, so I'm having trouble confirming if the locations I found are always Sunfish. The Moonfish spot I found has definitely been Moonfish many times, though, and all of the locations said by other people are spot on -- this thread has been a lifesaver for completing my encyclopedia.

Okay, I can now confirm all of these Sunfish locations, and add two more: the intersection of G10,H10 and central F8.

Except even though it says 13 obelisks, it only displays the original 11, and not the two newer which are at K,-4, Northeast Pale Reach, and F,-7, Southwest Pale Reach.
