Exotic Aberrations

I'm a bit confused on how i'm supposed to go about catching an Exotic Aberration such as Gulper Eel or Oar-fish if they don't re-spawn. I've already caught all exotic fish in the game. Do i just have to start a new save each time i try catching them and get the normal one? some help would be greatly appreciated as i'm very close to 100%.

You can make a variety of special bait at the rig after it has been sufficiently upgraded. Use that for all your specialist fishing needs.

Bait (as above mentions) coupled with Atrophy works quite well I found.

okay thanks, been busy with the dlc and got to twisted strand and just upgraded my hull to 5 now, thanks for the advice.

i have every exotic i just dont have their aberrations, i'll look at where i found the one in the ocean and get back to you. (quick edit) i didnt even notice the new oceanic exotic, but i assume because it came with the Iron Rig dlc that you can probably have a good chance of finding it with the aberrated bait others have commented about over the oil spills.

just check my intial reply to your first post, i added an edit, hope it helps. (another Edit) i just went and saw another discussion on these forums show where they found the new exotic, Q4 on the map using aberrated bait.
