DREDGE
Please, PLEASE expand the core character dialogs; I beg you!
First off, I LOVE this game to death but what kicks me out of the game immersion is the fact that once we've talked to the people once in the core game, we never get new dialog from them again. I'd think expanding their dialogs, mini quests, and stories would be a relatively simple way to keep the world-building alive, particularly with the new DLCs being added.

Examples:

*So if I brought the fish peddler in the Barrows new, mutated fish from different regions, what would he say/do? Would he continue to eat them and get progressively sicker?
*If I presented the Mayor with photos of the destroyed ships that look mysteriously like mine, would he admit he knew more than he let on?
*What does the scientist do with the mutated sea life samples I've sent her?
*Will the photographer give me a reward for pictures of super rare animals and/or occurrences? Or simply go mad and disappear if the pictures were too mind-destroying?

and so on... there are SO many opportunities for world-building and storytelling already within the game and they're being ignored. T_T WHY?!?

We don't actually have a writer - I'm the only programmer, and I did the writing too, so, that's the reason! We just didn't have time!
Well you have time now. Write us thousands of more lines of dialog. I swear, developers these days are so bloody lazy. Do your job and give us a bunch more content!
We gave you good money so you owe us more content. And it better be a free update or I'll report you to Steam. :HedgehogMorta:
