I hit a wall and lost a dogtag, what should I do?

It won't affect anything other that u miss out on some money (which you can easily recover by just fishing). It's just a wee way to get some fun cash.

Just means you miss out on a research part, which is no biggie as they do have a small chance to spawn randomly when dredging other resources from what I can tell (which means there is technically an infinite amount as shipwreck loot does slowly regenerate). If you go talk to the Airman I expect there'll be an option to tell him about it. I accidentally sold the Grieving Father's son's belt buckle very early on, and was able to tell him what happened to resolve the quest. You won't get any reward for it, but it'll allow you to still "finish" the quest, which means you can still get the achievement for completing all side quests.
