Minor Spoiler Question About End Phase

So the game made a big production of double warning me that the game won't be saved going forward. My question is: does this mean I will lose my save otherwise?

I just need to know if I need to play when and where I won't be distracted. If I am distracted will my save be OK so that I can play the end phase again?

Once you actually start that last section, you can't do anything else. It's just letting you know that your save will not change further, and you can keep playing from that point once you actually finish the game - either just to mess around, do some more stuff, or to go for a different ending...

It just means - whatever happens next, your saved game will stay right before this warning.
You will be able to load it and start the endgame phase again, or keep exploring the world if you like.
