There could be more stories that's sure but probably the development team feels good with how the game is now and wants to go for other projects now
if im understanding the development timeline they started working on iron rig first but then relesed pale reach as it was more finished then iron rig (as iron rig dlc is huge)
Regarding your other comment, I doubt they would make a game-sized DLC instead of a sequel in a separate game.
It brings much less visibility while it is an important point for indie games and can restrict the possibilities with having limits of previous code and can require time to make sure everything edited still works in the previous areas of the game as it was supposed to. But that would be a nice way gameplay side, that's sure
