Gleaming Goliath Achievement

So I've tried about everything I can think of and still cannot get this achievement. I used haste away from it, banished it, evaded until it despawned, waited for it to start its attack and evaded, just ran, I still haven't gotten the achievement. Am I doing something wrong? Is it just RNG? Is it bugged? Just looking for some suggestions and to see if I can try anything else.

I think it's just a case of evading it, but it's a very narrow margin - you have to only just avoid being hit by it. I got this achievement by accident, without even knowing about it, the first time I encountered it, so I can't say with any certainty what the conditions are.

I think you have to wait for it to do the big lunge rather than avoiding it when it's just doing the flailing approach.

Hold on to your banish until the creature is "lunging" toward you (in slow motion). Hit banish too early and it doesn't count. It's like playing chicken with another car. Both driving toward the other and the first to swerve loses. You gotta hold on to the wheel and not blink till the last possible moment. THEN hit the key to banish the creature.

You can also get this by evading. I just drove a little to the side and past the mouth as it was attacking and got the achievement

I got this accidently. Heard it right behind me, used haste to boost out of the way as it took a big bite, lived to tell about it.
