Looking to buy. Is it mainly PC or console?

I'm tired of buying games only to realize they're best played with a gamepad and really made for console. Been looking at this but want to ask before I buy. I'm on PC.

In my limited/unskilful experience, it goes fine on a PC.

It works really well for both. I played gamepad in my first playthrough, but now play on keyboard. For gamepad, having analog control of our heading is nice, but a mouse makes managing our inventory much easier.

I play with mouse and keyboard only and find it perfectly fine. I would go as far as to say that I don't think I would enjoy it as much with a controller, as I typically only whip those out for racing or story-heavy games.

im a 100% pc dude and i despise gamepads and bad ports. this game works perfectly with mouse/keyboard. playing it on gamepad would hamstring u even.

Didn't even know there was a console version.

Regardless, I played with a Keyboard and Mouse and everything works fine.

I 100% it on steam deck, then on mouse and keyboard a second time. Either way, the game performs flawlessly. If you want my two cents, I say spring for it, especially with the new dlc coming out in 2 days. Happy fishing!

Gamepad is way chill, but inventory is actually far more tedious, and slightly inconsistent.

Play exclusively on Steam Deck, so controller.
Love it, no issues.
