Prototype Parts at Stellar Basin missing?
Nothing is marked on my map after accepting the researcher's quest for the prototype parts, is that a bug or is that how it is? I still only have the one x from the collector here. Do I just need to randomly explore to find the prototype parts?

The Prototype Parts are in the Research Outpost, where the Generator is. If you find it before you get the quest, you will get a message that you found what look like prototype parts of some sort, but you don't see any use for them. It is located at G4, right up against the shore.

Eh, don't call yourself that. It confused me at first, even though I had already found the Research Outpost early and had gotten that message. It took a while for it to "click" and remember where the place the was, since I hadn't put down a map marker, lol.

Glad you got it worked out on your own, though. The game does not hold our hands, at all.
Enjoy the rest of the game- it gets confusing in a few more places as you go on. :)
