Seem to be stuck with the rock slabs

I'm really hoping this isn't a bug but I don't seem to be able to place fish on any of the shrines after completing one. I've given the key, the music box and the ring to the collector and somewhere along the way I did the Cod shrine and got the fishing line from it. Since then whenever I interact with the shrines now, all I get is some dialogue about a vision. I'm fairly sure that the visions are different across the shrines and I first started encountering this problem at Stellar Basin.

If anyone has had the same problem or has a solution, let me know! Thank you

Maybe you are not interacting with the shrines but with the black rocks where you can put your hand on it? The latter are the ones which gives you a vision, but only if your panic level is high. If your panic is low, the stones doesn't have the red shine anymore and nothing happens.

AHHHHHH, that was it! I got confused because of the crab slab being close to a vision slab and then thought I was doing something wrong. Thanks fellow dredger

Yeah, I think they are. The shrines only seem to be useful one time- do the puzzle, fill it with the fish it needs, and get the special gear. The obelisks (the walls of black rocks) only show the red runes when your are really panicked and if you touch them while the runes are showing, you get some good creepy story lore, but no physical reward, and no buffs or abilities. Really only useful if you like being out in the middle of the night, freaked out, and want more story details. They're neat, but if the OP is expecting prezzies to fall out of everything, repeatedly- that's not going to happen.
Also (slight spoiler) if you want to touch the obelisks while panicked- don;t read the book you get from the delivery person siting terrified on their little ship. They'll give you a package to deliver to the Dockworker on Little Morrow- reading the book makes you less prone to becoming panicked- save the book until after you've visited the obelisks if you're interested in the story details they give. I haven't gotten into the Pale Reach content yet, and I did read the book, so I may have to work at becoming panicked to read those ones.

Ohhhh... THATS why the Obsidian doesnt react to me? In my Playthrough i was almost never panicking and whenever i tried to get an interaction, they denied me their Purpose^^

Looks like i have to run into a few paranoia clouds and dont activate my Floodlight to have them react.
