Last fish no ocean net
I'm at end game and have done everything. No more upgrades. Sadly I have one last fish and you can only get it with a fully filled out upgrade path for a net. Do I have to play a new game and prioritize the net?

Nope, just need some patience. You can still get research parts through the respawning dredge spots or the travelling merchant. By end game i had already gotten around $20k so i just sat at a merchant and slept, checking the materials stock each day. She won't restock a research part every time, but she will restock them eventually. Can take a bit but eventually you will have enough to upgrade everything in all research branches.

You can skip sleeping. Just go to merchant, save, quit, load and check if it has the parts. Sometimes on save & load cycle it actually refreshes the stock.
