Windows 7?
Just curious, does it work on Win7? I see that it's steam deck compatible, so I assume some linux is fine. Min specs list Windows 10, but I do see some slightly older threads saying the game runs on Windows 7, but had some issues here and there, that "might" be now fixed?

For reference before anyone gets up in arms, I do have a gaming capable side system with Win7 and take extra precautions to cover it's security risks (better to block access points, than purposely install MS spyware/adware). But I will be switching it to Linux Mint sometime this year.

Just buy it. You can test it for 2 hours before you need to return it.

Follow Honorable_D's advice and find out for yourself, this isn't a Windows 7 support forum.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

Thank you. :)

There isn't a specific "support" or "questions" section. There is a section to report problems, but that's it. That makes the general forum the exact place to ask this question. Telling people to just buy without research, with the plan of refunding - while possible, isn't very helpful for anyone on a tight budget, and requires a lot more steps than just asking as well. But good luck.

Sadly don't think this is something that Steam have any power over. The issue is apparently with the Google Chrome platform that Stream runs on.. :(
The issue then becomes whether to 'upgrade' to 10 or 11. Something which I have recently discovered brings its own 'extra' nightmares.
I'm still using windows 7 on one of my PCs in 2025 and it runs games fine lol
