Why are there no weird crabs?

I finished the game recently and a question I had since the beginning was: why no crab aberrations? They would have been really cool, like a spider crab that is actually a spider, something like that. That's the only thing I felt the game was missing.

I feel the same as you, even the fish that can only obtained by net has its weird form

Maybe crabs are resistant to chaos or some such thing?

Crabs are already weird. That's why things keep evolving into crabs.

I'm not sure I'd say there are NO aberrant crabs, but it does seem we can't catch them at least. Not sure if you've encountered what i mean though so: there are a few weird crabs around the map, but they are large almost hermit crab like monsters that disguise themselves as points of interest until the player gets within range. At which point they reveal themselves and try to smash your boat for getting too close (though they are super easy to avoid, they don't move from their spot)

Because crab is ultimate. Nothing can corrupt the perfect form of crab.
