Should you Deplete fishing spots?

I've noticed that fishing spots seem to "restock" over time, but does that mean you shouldn't fully deplete certain ones?

Or does it not really matter?

I don't think it matters at all - there are a bazillion fishing spots and new ones pop up all the time.

It seems that in general, spots depleted from fishing will come back in time, and won't actually vanish forever under most circumstances .

But I'm a Pasifika person and we like our ocean stewardship, so it's more fun for me to not temporarily exhaust a permanently replenishing fishing spot. Call it roleplay.
