Are the upgrade materials random..respawn or they static?
If i wish to focus on hunting upgrade parts.. are they scatered random? Im talking about wood, scrap metal and cloths..

I've been finding them to be pretty specific. The same pieces always respawn where you found them, just dredge em up, wait a bit, and you can go back for 1-3 more pieces. If you're real lucky, you can even get research parts out of them for free.

They spawn in the same spots, just like fish does. There's a good spot near the dock in Steel Point where you get cloth, wood and metal in three spots near each other. Also, you can farm them out > dock (to save) > quit to menu > load save which causes all dredge/fishing spots to refresh so you can just go back and farm them out again without waiting for them to respawn naturally.

You can force a respawn by leaving and reloading the game. All Ponds are renewed on reload, even the materials.
