If you don't believe me, I could play with you and I'll instantly complete any puzzle you want with no "bugs".
In fact, the sliding tile puzzles are actually way easier than normal, because all of the preset scrambles the devs have made are hardly scrambled and can be solved in like 3 moves.
My friend actually figured out the sliding tile one pretty quick. Main issue from that one came when the game suddenly disconnected me and he didn't want to do the banishment alone xD
Ah so those tiles are always preset in the same way? That would make it easy when you memorize the steps. The video is pretty helpful as well, thanks.
But how can someone even figure that out? To have all the tiles in the right spot takes so much moves that it is hard to even think ahead. I mean, I can understand if he played a lot of Rubik's Cube and knows the exact moves to get a specific tile in a spot.
I still feel that there is no way to solve that puzzle besides just clicking tiles and hope that they start to fit. Unless you watch some guides on how to these exact type of puzzles like AveryHyena has
It's just how different brains are wired. Some people just do not understand puzzles like this unless it's explicitly explained to them. An extremely simple explanation of how you can work out how to solve an 8 puzzle with no help is this: An 8 puzzle is not a jigsaw puzzle, since you have to slide pieces around. So logically, you cannot just solve one piece individually at a time, otherwise it would just be a jigsaw puzzle, right? So there MUST be an element of solving multiple pieces at a time. So that's the first rule this puzzle has. So now you can experiment with how many pieces at minimum need to be solved at once, and through trying different things, you should be able to work out that if you solve two pieces in a row, it is impossible to solve the third piece if it is not already paired up with one of the other pieces. And logically, you will only have to do this process twice since if you do it to a row, then a column, the puzzle becomes solved as the last three pieces can just be rotated until it's solved. So now we have the second rule - you will have to pair up at least two pieces, twice, to solve the puzzle. From playing with the puzzle, you should already have worked out how to connect pieces so they are in the correct order when inserted. The only thing left to figure out is when a corner-edge pair is flipped. If you think logically, you will be able to work it out. When you cycle pieces, you are essentially moving a group of four - three pieces and the empty space. So if a pair is flipped and in the wrong order, you have to take one of those incorrectly paired pieces out of that group of four spaces, so that you then can reinsert it in the correct order.
You might be right that some people quickly see a way to solve these kind of puzzles. Still, one the other hand I cannot really picture someone that has never done these kind of puzzles to just walk in and understands how these puzzles work. But I might be wrong on this one.
Your explanation is excellent. I used the video in your guide, as well as the online 3x3 puzzle to test it. The most helpful was understanding that you need to start in a corner, make a horizontal column and then a vertical one and done! As in Forewarned I had no clue where to start and I was just pressing tiles till I hoped to see a pattern or solution of some sorts.
Thanks again!
as for the lights puzzle u can make a note somewhere like. if u see lights 7 9 5 on press lights 318 or some crap. which i plan on doing. because i have to farm quite some more stuff.
