How do I Public Games actually public?

So I'm not sure if this has already been said or not. I want to host a public lobby for anyone to join, however when I create a public game/lobby, it comes with a room code.
Is there a way to remove this? Its a public lobby so anyone should be able to join, regardless of a code. - Codes should be left for private lobbies. Can anyone help? - Or can this be looked into by the creators maybe? Thanks in Advance

Public lobbies just also have a room code that you can also use to join. It does not prevent anyone from joining.
If it says "public" at the top, then anyone can join.
If you were just playing a minute ago and thought it was why no one was joining. it's just because the minimum amount of people are online in the world at the time. 7-midday UK time is always the most dead in every game.

Thank you for the reply! But when I try and join a public game, I cannot without a code? This is why I have tried creating public games, but don't seem to get anyone joining - so I just assumed they were possibly having the same issue.
Maybe its just that noone near me plays it public at the moment though, i'll have to try playing it at different times of the day and see if I have better luck then lol

If you cannot join a lobby without a code, it is because it is private. A locked icon means it's private. If you want to test it, I have a public lobby open now.
If you want to have better luck having people join, try playing around the afternoon-evening in EU, or evening to 2am for east coast, or evening to 6am for west coast.

Thank you so much for all your help! I appreciate you taking the time to explain the lobby system to me. I think you're right and I just play at the wrong times of the day
