Ushabti puzzle - Sobek Battle
I got this puzzle and am completely stumped by it...

There is a page "explaining" it:
"In this chamber of Sobek, six jewel-eyed guardians stand eternal watch, split by their allegiance to the armaments of old.
An equal battle of weapons and wounds, all parties flee directly away from their counterparts.
The swordsman, however, remain steadfast, each preparing to inflict one final wound to the nearest shield-bearer."
In the next chamber are 6 statues differentiated with eye colour (3 green/3 red) and weapons ( 2 sword, 2 shield and 2 spears) arranged roughly like this:

Entrance
Green Spear Red Shield

Red Sword Green Sword

Green Shield Red Spear

There are ways to rotate each statue to (sometimes roughly) face others.

My problem with it:
I know there needs to be some kind of balance, but I have no idea what needs to be balanced.
The page says their allegiance is split to the armaments of old... So does the balance revolve about the weapons?
Or is there need to be a balance between the eye colours?
All other puzzles are intuitive to solve (Run the gauntlet in time, shine the light through all prisms, mirror a room, ...) but this one just gets me more and more confused the longer I try to figure it out.

Anyone found the solution per chance?
I tried a lot of things and nothing seems to work.
I hope my confusion originates from English being a second language and that no-one else has such troubles with the puzzle.

Thanks and kind regards!

I believe the solution goes like this.

red shield faces red sword

green shield faces green sword

red spear faces green spear.

I solved it:

Both shield-bearers have to face each other. If the shield-bearer has green eyes, every red-eyed warrior has to face it. If it has red eyes, every green-eyed warrior has to face it.

I agree with Viper. Also tried both of these and neither worked.

Just solved this. All corner statues have to face diagonally into their corner (opposite sides back to back) while the swordsmen face the nearest shield directly.

I'm lost, what you said doesn't make sense, if you could elaborate with more detail "shield guy faces X, spear faces Y, shield faces Z etc. I tried what i think you you were saying, as in "shield faces each other, sword faces opposite color shield, and spear faces away?
EDIT: actually never mind, NVRLCKY suicide had the correct solution with

No matter what configuration I put these in it wont work.

It seems there are variations because there are so many answers?
Perhaps a stupid question, but does someone understand the REASONING behind the puzzle?
I see different solutions, but never understand the reason why they work :nonplussed_creep:

So my friend and I were dealing with this puzzle today and our clues were different than OP's. Our page below the intro says
"The defendants of Sobek face one another, bracing for impact against their counterparts blunt attacks.
Warriors favoring long-ranged combat face the close-combat specialists and vice versa, matching their gaze in all regards."

Solution:
Shield facing shield
Spear to sword, matching their eye colors. So red facing red, green facing green

Thank you all for responding.
I think I see the reasoning.
My first riddle (see original post) wasn't really about balancing, but just turning the statues to represent the positions mentioned in the riddle.
Personally, it was confusing by saying "their allegiance split by armaments of old" and the "equal battle of weapons and wounds" part. Made me belief there was a sorts of balance needed but it's just turning the statues to the positions mentioned in the note.

All in all, seems best not to overthink the riddle, like I did, and just keep it simple.

I tried everything to solve this puzzle and got no where. Puzzle is overly vague and not actually able to be completed. I rotated the statues every which way and it resulted in wasting 30 minutes of mine time for no results.

Nope, the puzzle is able to be completed. This is the correct solution, posted earlier in the thread:

Please do not say something as though you know it to be a fact when you don't.

For anyone else confused or thinking that it's bugged, I made a guide:

Yeah, everyone confused about THIS being the right answer, or THAT being the right answer, must realize that there are various examples of this puzzle. Each one with different notes that require different solutions. However, all of the solutions do have the correct instructions. Maybe people need it pointed out that the first paragraph is just the introduction, and is universal for all of the setups. The rest of the note explains what you need to do.
It's been interesting to see how this puzzle has stumped the most people, from what I've witnessed of people coming for help in discord.

spear people face away from each other, ass to ass, facing into the corners. same with the shields, asses face each other, faces into the corners. swordsmen are facing the shield guys on the same row as themselves, opposite eye colors
