I got tired of snakes chasing me down trails, so I started a new game in the easy mode (I forget what it's called, but animals don't attack you). I didn't quite expect it to work like this: I see a bear and walk up to it, but it does nothing, so I hack at it with my axe until it dies.

I mean, if players (like me) don't want to be attacked by bears and snakes all the time, this is fine, but I guess I was expecting the bears and snakes to avoid me, but still attack if I provoked them.
