Is it Possible to beat Single Player without getting Bonus Deployments?
I'm currently playing the first DoW II campaign and really enjoying it. I love the fact that it focuses on small squad tactics rather than base building and unit production. My playstyle is slow and methodical however and I almost never get bonus deployments because my times are so slow. In fact the only misisons so far where I have gotten the bonus deployment have been defender missions where the attacker sets the pace and as long as you survive the bonus is almost guaranteed.

Anyway my question is: Will this slow playstyle will make it hard for me to complete the game?
I am playing on normal difficulty.

I already have substatial Tyrranid infestations on all of my planets so I have been doing optional missions as they crop up to try and reduce the tide but it is a bit like "Whack a Mole". However I don't think I would enjoy the game as much if I have to change to a more fast and furious play style.

shouldn be a problem. i did it the same way. cleared the whole map and tried to kill everything instead of speeding to the missiongoal. and this way you get more exp / loot wich may help for the first half of the game anyways. got the extra deployments mostly for defender missions too.

Thanks Para: That is good to hear. I got worried at one stage when Planet Meridan was only a few pips from being over run by Tyrannids. Thankfully I got a bunch of missions there which lowered the overall infestation level.

on low lvl it is better to play slow.
on higher lvl, i don't know.
may be I'm just impatient.
but it's seems easier to defend (assuming you know what I mean) with lots deployment.

Yeah, defence missions are pretty easy sources of additional deployments. Try to take them first at the start of the day. Also, capture foundries first, where applicable.

Even on Primarch Difficulty, slow and methodical play is possible, but you have to make sure you take and hold every Shrine of the Emperor that you come into contact with. You may also end up having to skip a few side missions because you'll be getting more of them with shorter expiration windows and you won't be receiving as many extra deployments. Basically, slower play on higher difficulty just means you have to choose more carefully what you feel you can accomplish before pushing on to the final battle.

there is a trick to it . calderis is the one you should allways do first as it has the most foundry . so on new day do a mission on that planet then when you get more deployments do other worlds with it .

Definitely. It's a lot easier with bonus deloyments, but you can absolutely finish the game without getting a single one. Whether or not you'll manage to get every single side mission and item - maybe not. But you don't need them to finish the game - just hit the level cap and romp through the final story missions one day at a time.

The Tyranid invasion level has no in-game effect apart from making 'Nid swarms bigger on levels where you're fighting them.
