So there's no way to "scuttle" them like in the first DoW where you just press Delete?

Nope, that's removed. No reason to kill them really since there's no squad cap

In MP? It would be a b**ch if you're stuck with one more T1 unit than what you've previously planned and you need an Avatar of Khaine ASAP.

Question is why would you want to kill your own units?

The reason for killing our own units in MP is because we have a limited number of units we can field at once. If we make a low-powered unit specifically to deal with a certain threat, then after the threat is contained, we are stuck with a fairly useless unit(s) while the opponent fields higher tech units, which will most defintely steam-roll said lower powered units (and probably win the game).

I guess you could just suicide them to the enemy territory, so they'll (almost) definitely just die from the defence?

Nope but I heard stories that the first one was better so I'm not surprised by your statements.
