REQUEST to Relic Entertainment, PLEASE, Separate DOW II and Chaos Rising
Now in Steam you can purchase Dawn of War II and Chaos Rising as base game and expansion, but, if you buy only Dawn of War II, you can play Chaos Rising too, WTF???

I hope that you FIX this mistake because I and other Dawn of War fans have paid by both games, and isn't correct that person who has purchased only Dawn of War II can play Chaos Rising too.

Thanks by your attention and support.

P.D.: Same with achievements

You have paid for both games, and thus you can play both games. If you had paid only DOW2, you wouldn't (or shouldn't) be able to play Chaos Rising. At least from what I know.

No, because is Dawn of War II GOLD, which is Chaos Rising with DOW II vanilla campaign.

My friend has only DOW II and he can plays Chaos Rising Campaign too.

Oops sorry, I didn't know that. Very weird indeed :S

Yes, but is real, and if I paided by two games to play two games, why other people that paid only for one game can play both??

This is a mistake that Relic must FIX.

Other people know about this important problem?

Maybe they are trying to merge games? Who knows.

Also, every owner of Batman Arkham City got GOTY upgrade for free after transition. And I think Bioshock 2 owners got Minerva's Den DLC for free in the same way.

The games are merge since time ago

I have got dawn of war II GOLD ever, since I purchased both games

Other thing that they can do, is a new DOW II steam version as they did with Company of heroes, that you have to enter the serial codes to play

I thought that maybe they wanna merge them in a way that you launch them over single client. Like CoH.

One more time, the games are merge since much time ago, since two or three years
Since they launched in retail version DOW II GOLD edition

I and others want the two games separate or you have to purchase both games to play both games

Mentioned those free upgrades for Batman and Bioshock 2 after switching from GFWL, thought that maybe Relic wants to do the same, although it could be a mistake, and it will be fixed after they update the game. Also, we have 2 entries in our libraries, so maybe they will make one launching shortcut, like for CoH1 games. Didn't played DoW2 on Steam yet, so I'm not sure how it works.

Right now it is Games for Windows Live that does authentication for DoW 2 and Chaos Rising Campaign mode. I can think of 3 things that are allowing your friend to play both campaigns even though he has only bought DoW 2 Vanilla. 1) GFWL is ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and isn't doing it's job. 2) He bought Chaos Rising at some point and registered it in GFWL and doesn't remember. Having it registered in GFWL would allow him to play both campaigns even though he doesn't have it registered in Steam. If this option is true he needs to find his key and get it registered in Steam or it will *PROBABLY* go away with GFWL 3) He is running a cracked version of the GFWL authenticator. This would mean that he would be unable to play multiplayer though.

I am not sure but it may be possible to join someone elses campaign as a guest without the expansion if you are invited. Just a thought.

Thanks by your reply, I think that it will be because by "familiar library"??, in spanish is biblioteca familiar.

He doesn't use any crack for Dawn of War II or Chaos rising for game or GFWL, and he can plays online "Last stand" and normal online modes, and no, he never purchased Chaos rising, the steam version or retail box version.

I think that this happens because the steam version of Dawn of War II is the GOLD version, Chaos Rising with DOW II vanilla campaign, and because of this, GFWL thinks that he and maybe, other persons, has Chaos Rising, when he only enters the DOW II serial code.

I think the english name for "Biblioteca familiar" is "Family sharing".

Raskaipika, I'm searching for DOW2 GOLD in Steam to buy it for a friend, but can't seem to find it. Could you please send me a link? Or is it just the normal DOW2 version in Steam?

Yes, family sharing, that is the name.

Dawn of War II GOLD with that name doesn't appear in Steam, is Down of War II and Chaos Risng, but when you download the games, steam download the GOLD version.

So, if I wanted my friend to have both DOW2 and Chaos Rising with this "glitch", what should I buy? Just DOW2?
