So he's the best option for the least important & easiest mission type, against only one specific enemy, on the difficulty level that nobody plays?
I find his squad very useful, but I don't play the 'correct' way, according to certain player, on a different thread from long ago.
I lead with Avitus. When enemy is spotted, I have Avitus squad 'settle-in'.
Then I bring forward Tarkus, and his squad, since I have them as a strictly melee squad.
Next, I send in Hair-Gel, with his melee build {never the Hammers} to the 'biggest' threat
Now with the enemy locked in melee, while being sprayed by Avitus, I jump in Thaddeus for
'crowd-control', jumping his squad to wherever needed.
Works fine for me, on all difficulties, yet according to others, I am 'Playing the game WRONG', to which I still chuckle about that guy's comment. If you 'beat' the campaign without cheats, how is it wrong...
Some like to say they 'think outside of the box', I say 'box, what box...'
"At max level in Terminator armour"
"Tarkus with the enemy locked in melee, while being sprayed by Avitus"
"Primarch difficulty In defence against Eldar"
90% of the game doesn't involve any of these situations. Thaddeus sucks.
Let's look at the first part, shall we...
All 'squads' can actually 'do something' no matter the scenario, if YOU do not know what to do, with what you got, is it really the game.... asking for a friend.
Now that other part. I truly grinned. I used that method through-out the campaign, after Thaddeus joined, so your '90%' comment, just makes me laugh.
Clearly, instead of looking for advice on ways to use Thaddeus, you are just here looking for affirmations, of your opinion.
Cool, I can dig-it, carry-on my man, carry-on....
We can all hide behind semantics. "What is really a scenario?" "What does it really mean to 'do something?'". You want to break it down? Let's do it.
1. Does 90% of the game involve Thaddeus at max level wearing Terminator armour?
No.
2. Does 90% of the game involve Tarkus engaging the enemy in melee, while being sprayed by Avitus?
No.
3. Does 90% of the game involve playing defence missions on Primarch difficulty?
No.
I really can't make it any simpler than that for you.
thanks for the attempt,
now let me break-out the crayons, for you...
1) Aside from being rhetorical, since Termie armor doesn't arrive until the campaign is well under way.... I wouldn't know, I don't use Termie armor, except for the one time I wanted the Steam Achievement in Chaos Rising.
2) I was explaining my strategy for ROFLSTOMPING
{ I wont even get into how much fun it was to use the same strategies, in Chaos Rising, while going 'Full-Chaos'. )
my way through the campaigns, so 'Yes', if you want to play that way.
3) This one, is your weakest straw-man argument for deflection, since even YOU have to have a grasp on the ratio of 'Defense Missions', to normal 'story-line' missions, on ANY difficulty.
Other than that... Carry on my man, carry on.
{ETA: It had occurred to me, that 'English' may not be your primary language, and you are having comprehension issues due to a bad 'google-translate' or something. For that reason, I will attempt to do better in explaining things in more basic terms.}
Clearly, he has 'Carried-on', with a name-change, no less...
Thaddeus sucks.
*It's a public forum. If I want to change my name, picture, background, close or open my account or anything else - that's none of your damn business.
Its okay, no need to argue with him, that guy is just playing casually, cant blame him. He doesnt have the capacity to figure out strategies like we do. Let the kid have fun with what he has.
