Indoor Arena Is Not Worth It
I thought, based on how it was described, that training in the Indoor Arena would give us a bonus in training. Sorta like the different map arenas work in terms of riding through a glowy area and then we immediately get 1+ in a stat. (I also expected it to be for any stat, not just jumping. Which seems like a nonsensical choice given the map already HAS a jumping area.)

As it is now, I find it absolutely worthless to spend 155,000 money on what is essentially just a square training area (which the map already has, as I need to stress).
Granted, the training/obstacle courses seem to fit in the square better than in the elongated training area, but that is definetly NOT worth all the money considering going onto other maps to get a boost is better than staying on the Home map just due to laziness or wanting to spend less time (which I think does not even work as training on Home takes MUCH longer).

I actually quit mid-day to re-do my purchase of the arena. It was thoroughly disappointing tbh.
If at least we were given a boost for training ALL stats in there, I'd consider keeping it, but even then it seems like a waste of money since the regular maps give you a boost and all you have to do is simply invest some time to ride there. :/

I'd suggest re-doing what the Indoor Arena gives us in the game, otherwise I honestly see no point in ever wasting my hard-earned money on it. It's a nice background for screenshots and as I said the trainign courses fit in better, but other than that there is nothing worth mentioning/getting it for.

This is good to know - I was wondering what the benefit of such an expensive upgrade was...

Glad it helped. I know how annoying it can be to quir mid-day just to undo a purchase. Definitely NOT fun. :'D

Personally I like it, and use it often, but I can see how the price tag might be off-putting to some.
That being said, keep in mind there's still a lot left to be added to the game, so it's likely the arena might get another purpose/bonus in the future.

It's certainly nice for a roleplaying factor but not for general gameplay, especially with that price. :')

I'm aware much is to be added, so I hope that the arena will also get an update that makes it worth purchasing it at such a price. Otherwise I'll probably either never buy it or just buy it when I have too much money and no use for it. Kinda like an overpriced modern art piece. XD

The Slice of Life update does make it so that all skills get a training boost in the indoor arena.

Though technically now that the Flex training arena has been released it's somewhat obsolete again. I do use it sometimes if i have horses whose skills i need to fine tune somewhat, then i use the indoor arena, as i tend to go overboard on the actual training areas. Plus if i only need to train a little bit, then the indoor one is sometimes faster than riding to and from the areas.

Though to be honest....late game you'll probably have so much money that spending it on the indoor arena won't matter at all.

i dont thing the ranch needs two arenas, the one in the center of the ranch needs to go bye bye so i can put my retired horses out in the open where i can see them, and not thrown in the back and forgotten.

A lot of people enjoy having two arenas, especially since there's more that can be done with it in the coming updates so removing it would not be a good idea, but it would be nice if we could choose where to build things instead of having a single fixed layout.

thats why we need the option to customize, some like it some dont. i find it hard to justify having two when there are 6 others to use in the game. especially when its taking up so much room in the center of the ranch. i prefer a good view and since im here for the horses, id rather look at them first thing in the morning.

That's precisely what I find a fault tho: We already HAVE a training arena, just one without a roof. So there is no point in having another one that doesn't give any additional beenfits other than being slightly more square in shape. XD
I DO very much hope we get additional benefits someday. That would make it worth getting.

The fact that there are other arenas doesn't bother me, which is why I thought the Home arena would basically allow us for one more 'quick training' options as the other maps do with their Endurance, Speed, Jump, etc. arenas. THEN I'd have loved the Home arena tbh. XD

I'd also not mind customizing options tbh. Like, having the second pasture or breeding pasture WAY off. We DO have alot of space we could use that are currently empty. Not sure if those will be given a purpose someday tho.

I think one of the arenas should be repurposed if not removed tho. Having one that's just there, taking up space, when the other does indeed get a useful function that makes the first one obsolete would kinda irk me since it's just taking up useless space. XD
Maybe giving it another purpose would be nice. Like a Yearling/Foal training ground? Tho even then it would be big. So I'd rather it be a second, larger retirement pasture. The one in the corner gets awfully cluttered despite our regular pastures being huge in comparission (and holding the same amount of horses). Making a second RP (Retirement Pasture) would be more to my liking instead of having an obsolete, unroofed training ground.

Giving each arena a different training focus could also be an option, but that also seems senseless to me, at first thought anyway.
:slimehappy: UNLESS we include weather! If the dev deems it a worthy realistic idea, we could say that in sunny weather in summer horses train faster in the unroofed one and in rainy and cold weathers they train faster in the roofed arena! :)

i dont think we need a second retirement pasture. but rather a second barn to put studs and young horses. one that is as accessible as the first barn so the youngsters can get trained, and the studs used in competition. i think the retirement pasture should be accessible as well so i can ride my fav. ponies

Second R-pasture as in; make give them more space. Since I'm not a fan of the cluttered look it has if we max it out but there is WAY too little space for all our horses. :'D

I would love a second barn for studs tbh, would give it some more realism since those boys would NOT stay in those low-fenced stalls with a breedable mare nearby. ^^;
