No success breeding Pintaloosa
ever since the new update with the new color pattern release I have yet to be able to breed a pintaloosa and I have gone through SEVERAL breeding cycles over the course of spring and winter and about 20 foals and different combinations and even breeding the same pair several times again with NO SUCCESS... Im beginning to think there was an issue with my update but Im unsure if anyone else is struggling with this problem...

I also have been unable to get a pintaloosa. I think something with this update may have gone a bit awry- I've done several breeding cycles as well without any luck. But what really infuriates me is that THEY'RE ALL COLTS. Literally, the past 18 foals I've gotten, only one was a filly. Like, what??? What am I even going to do with 17 colts? Why are they all boys?! This is an entirely new issue I've been having and I don't really know why.

I'm not sure whats going on either. I noticed I've been getting more and more colts as well definitely not as bad as that though. I know some of my Mares only produced colts and I sadly decided to just do away with that mare because she simply wasn't producing an even mix for me. I've had no luck with any of the newly released patterns though... so I'm not sure what the issue is either and I'm hoping someone who has been working on the game sees this thread. I don't share much on the discord server as discord has been giving me a lot of problems as well lately but that's an entirely separate platform in of itself and has no correlation with the game at all.

for me it took a while (its a rare coat), but i managed to breed one. Their foals can also inherit pintaloosa and tovero directly, so getting started is the hard thing

I have actually had the opposite, I have had mainly Fillys, when I have 2 Mares that are pregnant then I might get a Colt on the Mare that got pregnant after the 1st 1 got pregnant

I never saw a Pintaloosa in the wild or anywhere for sale, how do you get one? Just discovered them in some screenshots and the look stunning! I am getting fillys and colts pretty even, did not noticed a problem yet.

you have to breed one by crossing a pinto horse with an appaloosa horse
It has to be tobiano and an appaloosa. Overo will not work if I remember correctly

what about tovero as it is genetically a combination of both tobiano and overo? I wonder if it has something to do realistically with the white complex gene to not be able to breed overo and appaloosa into a pintaloosa pattern.

I haven't played much since the beta update, but I was able to get my pintaloosas from tobiano x appaloosa crosses, then again randomly from the pintaloosa parent.

I've never tried a tovero x appaloosa cross to see if pintaloosa would pass. I think your safest bet would be tobiano x appaloosa, and it may take several tries. The game doesn't follow real-life genetics accurately enough to guarantee anything (there are no homozygous genes for example, and ignores recessives (like pearl)), it's mostly just RNG...

I was able to get a pintaloosa with my first breeding of Tobiano X Appaloosa

Since I heard about Pintaloosa I breed them and I got round about 12 - 16 Pintaloosa foals. With different mares and stallions. It does not matter if mare or stallion are Appaloosa. So it might be just a matter of luck? Good luck to you all!

I haven't gotten any pintaloosas either and I keep losing my horses from the retirement pasture. I'm not playing until there is another update :(
