Steam Deck compatibility?
Is anyone able to get this working on Steam Deck? It's listed as playable but it just hangs and never launches when I try to play on Steam Deck.

How does the controls work on the steam deck?

I found it ran pretty well performance wise (tho forgotten ninja is right about it chewing battery I've come to find thats standard for most graphically intensive games, either get a good power pack or play with your deck plugged in if you want to play for more than 2 hrs in one sitting) but the one problem I ran into is the game isn't programmed to run at the Deck's native resolution, and I couldn't manage to find the "correct" setting so I was finding a lot of the text boxes etc were getting cut off which made it kinda hard to follow the prompts and such being given by the characters.

Which in the scheme of things is a VERY silly problem to have but it tripped me up so much I ended up stopping playing the game entirely. If anybody can recommend me a good resolution that doesn't cut the text off halfway through I'd be super grateful!

I was able to play it flawlessly on the steamdeck after I figured my own controls. That being said, I don't recommend it. It just isn't optimized for steamdeck so it can be annoying remembering all of the hotkeys. Aside from that, it ran smoothly enough. I didn't play for an extended period of time, though.

I am paying on a deck right now and it plays it no problem. Although, I did have to change some controls.🙂

There are community controller layouts that are pretty intuitive tbh. I recommend this game so so much to any horse people. My mare just became pregnant and I've upgraded parts of my property already with having it a month.
