There seem to be a mod in german called Pillars of Avalon.

Sadly the company is no longer around. I too was waiting for the sequel. The Blackfly Studio patch was the last thing to ever come from it. I used to have an email correspondence with Steven. Lost touch a long time ago, but if I recall, he said aside from the planned re-release, the sequel would likely never happen.

It's such a shame. It's a fantastic game, even if a little rough around the edges, and the whole concept of it playing like a book was really cool.
