These steps have helped some players with controller issues, if you haven't already tried them:

• Open Steam and click on “Steam” in the top-left corner > Settings > Select the “Controller” tab > Enable Steam Input for Xbox controllers (or Playstation/Switch Pro/generic controllers, depending on the controller you're using).
  
• Right-click on ROUNDS in your Steam Library > Properties > Controller > Under 'Override for ROUNDS', set it to Enable Steam Input.
  
• Verify your game files: Right-click on Rounds in your Steam Library > Properties > Installed files > Verify integrity of game files.

Also, if you have any mods installed try removing them and see if the issue persists.
