Idiot here - please help with rounds with friends

hi. i am apparently an idiot. my son wants to play rounds with some of his friends (local play on one pc) - so i downloaded rounds with friends mods and installed it via thunderstore

the game says its working but i cannot for the life of me get more than two people in a game (one on KB/mouse one on controller).can someone explain to me how you are supposed to get more than 2 people in a game - it seems like it must be so easy to use there are literally no instructions for it anywhere on the interwebs. i searched. so i feel especially stupid i cant figure this out whatsoever.

i am pretty sure you can only have 2 people if you want more i think you might need another pc

Can you explain this issue in a bit more detail? And have you tried with multiple controllers? I recall for a little while something about mouse and keyboard not being viable to use in local multiplayer but whether that was for fairness sake or not I do not know. I'm spending a moment to configure and update my rounds modded install so I'll see if theres any specific details i can find out for you but I'm posting this to see if you're still paying attention to this thread.

EDIT: After very quick testing with a fresh modded install, I managed to get a keyboard and mouse plus two controllers to join a local game. I suggest checking the mods menu option on the main menu and just double checking Rounds WIth Friends is there. I still highly suggest using r2modman for thunderstore moddable games.

Also, how did you install it? Its highly suggested to use r2modman, which manages all the installing and other stuff itself and lets you launch vanilla and modded seperately, just in case its a problem with the mod not being properly initialized by a manual install.
