Modding Rounds on Steam Deck (desktop mode) help

Been trying to figure out how to get this game modded on SteamOS and it's been extremely frustrating.

I have the game set to the moddable beta branch.
I have R2Modman's appimage and it works. I have Lethal Company installed and the mods do in-fact work on other games.

I followed this Steam Guide and it didn't work. Seems to be completely outdated.

I followed this guide using Option 2 and it didn't work either. Gave up before trying any other methods.

Used this launch option (below) that R2Modman tells you to use and it stops the game from opening entirely, through R2Modman both vanilla and modded say they're launching then the game closes itself before anything happening. Launching through Steam does the same thing with this launch option enabled.

Been at this for about 2 hours and made absolutely no progress on ROUNDS specifically despite getting other games working.
