Can you not just dodge the bullets by jumping over them or hiding behind obstacles? Homing does have a backside too, it can home onto the user if it's the first player it sees.

as long as ya can time your blocks right or hide behind obstacles ya can get homing to hit the user themselves. also dont forget that in order for homing to be effective, it usually has to be slow, so you can usually jump over it or like dodge to the side in order to get it to hit the floor/a wall

Time your blocks, pick abilities that focus on getting in close (since homing is for those who prefer distance and not having to aim), and take advantage of any utility cards they've picked that might end up backfiring (bounce and so on).

Homing is weak - all you have to do is move forward and jump. And it makes bullets not very strong. I never pick homing, low skill ceiling weapon.
