or is it hitscan?

There is bullet drop and bullet travel; whereas the travel is much more noticeable

The bullet drop really only kicks in around 150m for the rifles tho

thanks for answering. So do different guns have different velocities/ballistics? Also is it like insurgency sandstorm where its hitscan until a certain range and then ballistics take over, or continuous?

I'm also curious if there is bullet penetration through walls and trees etc
Considering the fact that most of the game's rifles are effective beyond 500 meters and most engagements are not longer than 200 meters, i doubt drop would ever be noticable

I sure do hope that different rifles would have different bullet speeds

It feels very Hitscan like tbh. I don't feel i ever have to lead a target, even far away, and even with a pistol i can just aim at heads. And travel speed is crazy fast.
If there is any ballistic it seems to be very very weak.

there is balistic, but the bullets are so fast that you barely even need to lead your shots up to 100 meters... like in real life.

On rifles, sure. But pistols and revolvers need a lot more drop and lower velocities. Even the rifles feel a bit too fast with too little drop at range. Had an old model 95 at my parents house and the hopup at range was a fair bit.
Unless the PoV really messes with depth it feels just a bit too good.

Tannenberg's ballistics did feel so much better. As did the netcode for both previous titles. Verdun was tighter so can only comment on the handguns having a better ballistic feel to them.

Isonzo does some weird hit registry. Since I started playing last week I have had hip-high snow eat my ironsighted bullets since day one. Certain wall tears too. I actually still have to look up how to accurately log these flaws in the maps. Got stuck on terrain twice too, once I could respawn, the second action found me too fast

Even the melee registers much slower i.e. my guess-tamate is that I should have 20% more melee kills. If it was Verdun or Tannenberg they would have been assigned to me, worse case would have been double KO in some of them.
