Screen Shake gone... WOW
I dont know why.. But this game feels alot less "in the battlfield" The screen shake imo was good and changed gameplay... but now? Now its nonexistent, now i can easily kill people when artillery is dropping near me.. Well you do you but i dont like where this is going. I have less fun right now than a day before... Classes just got 10 Lvls for free.... Idk.. Its 3 days and i appreciate the patches but.... just.... wait... Its 3 Days. Wait and let people play. Its really bothering that you just change a big aspect of the artillery because people cry... Im worried. I like this game and after 3 days you changed it pretty heavily. Screen Shake gone and progression doubled. Now i just race trough the classes.... Man... Can people not just enjoy a good game? People judge in less than a day whats good or bad. You cant judge something in 1 day. For real. Just dont overdo it. I really liked the screen shake.

Changing screen shake and artillery cooldowns at the same time might've been overdoing it a bit too much. Plus the day 1&2 experience had virtually no grenades, so dropping copious amounts of artillery was the only way to clear the way in many cases.

Personally, I'd be fine with a bit more screen shake/suppression from arty, and possibly map-based changes to the cooldown, to take into account how much of it (and how much ammunition for it) was readily available on the various battlefields.

Oh brother. More changes. This is what happens though, if you don't speak up. These developers think this is a popularity contest, and the most vocal, wins, not taking into account, that people actually 'bought" the game that don't post.

xD no i dont want more changes i want no changes. I just want the game to be like the release state(not including bugs and performance xD) Just let us play this game for a frew weeks before changing important stuff. No one has everything fully leveled so why change anything before the playerbase had enough time?

This is the kind of nerf mentality I hate. I wish I had known this before my purchase, and I might not have.

Devs, nerf mentality is the bane of gamers. It means you are constantly making everything that is fun, less fun. At some point, too little fun remains.

Sure, screen shake bothered me in the sense it made it difficult to aim during the shaking. But it felt immersive and knowing my enemies were suffering the same shaking alleviated any frustrations. I liked it the way it was.
I've been mostly playing officer, sometimes spending a lot of time surveying the battlefield in preparation for a call in. (By the way, completely unrelated, WHY DO BINOCULARS TAKE THE SAME SPOT AS FLARE GUN FOR OFFICER? THIS IS MENTAL. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ RETARDED.) but I've never had the feeling of getting too many calls ins available, especially when attacking. Some people are just angry that they do not realize you can actively watch and listen for any and all call ins and avoid their effect, if you so desire. And death is part of the game, when 120 bombs drop all around you. It is rather OP, but it's once every 5-10 minutes, so whatever.

I just know I'm going to hate this game a few weeks or months from now, if not sooner. And it'll be because of all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the community about every little thing they dislike or simply haven't gotten used to yet, and the weak ass devs caving to these demands since they don't have a mind of their own when it comes to these matters, apparently.

Dude, look whatever the feeling is, do NOT bring this to me on consoles. They rejected my refund only after two days, and four hours play, and now I HAVE to be stuck with this as well. We on consoles never got to "vote" for these changes, and so it better NOT come to us. Please leave it, AS IS.

yeah many games died because of this. As i said. I read the patchnotes and my excitement to play it went down.. Significantly. Maybe because i discussed alot yesterday about this and they still did it.. And not by a little its nonexistent. Sad to see it. But hey. Maybe they will not do so much changes anymore.

Yep, Torn Banner did this on Chivalry 2 and murdered the game. Even back before Steam.
Neyreyan_Youtube Sep 16, 2022 @ 2:20pm
yup, i like the release version better:(
Sethology Sep 16, 2022 @ 2:28pm
same. I think its important that the devs take time, playtest themselves and thoroughly consider how their actions might effect the game before making changes. Its not a popularity contest. Dont change it just because people are complaining. Make sure the complaints have substance!
Antiga Sep 16, 2022 @ 2:33pm
It is one of the most common mistakes by devs, and I kinda understand because it can't always be easy to know who to listen to. But peer pressure wins 9/10 times. The loudest kiddies usually cause the most change. And this is why almost all online games are currently 100% completely dead, and people flock back to "what they know" even if it's no better. BF, CS, CoD, etc.

The patch was too extreme, they wanted to answer the concern about challenge too hard to unlock essential equipement but now everyone is maxed out on their class.

Some players had issue with the screenshake during art so they nuked it.

It's too extreme, it needs better adjustment which will probably happen with time.

It really feels like they had these changes planned but didn't want to advertise how arcadey the game was going to be at launch as they knew the series veterans wouldn't buy in. Making a change like this after only 3 days (and when most people now can't get a refund) is pretty scummy

Thanks for the feedback everyone, noted! Let’s keep it civil and remember that changes don’t have to be final, we are still in the early days and plan to support and track the game for a long time :)

Yap, but don't pretend we don't have to keep shouting.
It's become pretty obvious you are in the hands of your player base, rather than being lead by your own vision. Almost every time I see this, I see the game turn to ♥♥♥♥ overtime.
