Not really. In fact we got PC players complaining console players are cheating lol. It's the pc players doing the crying over crossplay, not the console folks.
See the Hell Let Loose forums. They're still crying about crossplay with consolers, even though there is none (it's PC Game Pass).
They think we use Cronus we're so good lol (not me btw). Enlisted, i think Easy Red 2 has it. It works. I just don't know if the design of this game would allow it.
It's worth noting the claim that PC has advantages over console isn't based off what players say, it's based off statistics that were collected by the industry.
Well a sincere question i'd ask, is how old are those statistics? In the past number of years, we've had a number of games come out with crossplay with pc. And in those games, they seem to be successful, or in the least, the crossplay not the issue, but others.
I would gather the fact that PC players, are molded on both teams, no one team has as an advantage.
And say when some of these games like Enlisted, BF, Chivalry 2 etc, have bot fillers on the servers, it's not as much of an issue. And many times, PC players way outnumbered as compared to console players. Therefore no real advantage.
In addition, i've seen games come to Game Pass, and rise from the ashes. Hell Let Loose, was dead on console. It came to Game Pass, and now its in the Top 20 most played games. Same with Chivalry 2.
Personally whether it's crossplay and/or Game Pass, i think it's a win win. And like the Dev said, if they want to shut it off, they will. But many times, if there's no other choices, they leave it on to get into more servers.
On there, there are many more Xbox players, then PS and PC players
I'd have to disagree with this, I olaythis game exclusively on an Xbox controller and it's plays very very well. I'm also almost always near the top of the leader board witha positive K/D. unless I'm just playing poorly. The gamepad support is wonderful. Many KBM players both overestimate their aiming skill while underestimating controller users, it's easy to top score or get make a positive impact in matches as long as you have good game sense.
Those games play very differently and even then BF has only recently gone the route of crossplay and that game it turns out has not been well received. None of these games have published their metrics on if the crossplay is balanced for them.
Currently when ever I see players on console there's fewer people playing the WW1 series than on PC, so the console users will be out numbered and PC players wont be happy with the lowering of quality of their game. No one will be happy with the much slower roll out of patches and the entire removal of events.
Well let me say, i'm not calling for crossplay in this particular game. It's what it is, more content and pretty much what it is atp.
But on future games, they may want to consider it, being that's where all these games are going, seemingly.
From COD, to BF, to Enlisted, to HLL, to most everything in the market today. Folks want to co inhabitate with their friends.
And if i can make it with a controller, at my age, not being a decent player at all, even against console players, nonetheless PC, and can play Arma 3, HLL, and this and others with a controller, against sole PC players, on a stream service at that, i don't see it as a negative, but a positive.
In addition, as an aside, Game Pass may be a very good idea. At that point, yes, console players will way outweigh PC players, and can make the game more even matched.
But i get it, that there always is resistance on these matters, from what i can tell, from the PC crowd much more than console. Which is interesting, and don't want to cause consternation.
But more players is key, and to get those players, more choices may be advisable, on the next game.
