No campaign, the game is focused on multiplayer. You can play alone with bots but its not great.

Isonzo's solo is rubbish unlike Verdun and Tannenberg.

This is to ask why the game is not only in multiplayer so much the solo is absolutely useless in this game.

In singleplayer the bots on the enemy team flood in constantly and have decent aim while the friendly bots trickle into objectives and suck at literally everything. I don't know why the bots can't be set to equivalent levels but don't even bother trying to win on single player because of this. I can't tell you how many times I've pushed to an objective just to have no AI teammates ever make it to me. And when they do get on the objective they ALWAYS without fail get pushed off seconds later. As MASH said, single player is garbage in this game. Stick to multiplayer, or better yet go play one of the previous two games because they're far better.

To be fair though, the "single player experience" is a a lot better since the latest update that added the Piave map, where the devs ramped up the bots ability to actually focus on the objectives. Since that update you do get significantly further befor the offensive comes to a halt. With that said, I am yet to actually win any matches in "single player" as the attacker, so my tip would be not to focus so much to win. You do get a sense of progression anyway since you get xp for the classes you play and unlock stuff. Until you need 30 grenade kills as an engineer with only one grenade or having to kill 100 enemies with call ins, but that is a different topic.

I noticed with the latest update the bots have improved as mentioned above by Gork. I was healed multiple times by bots unlike before. Bots are still relatively weak though but hopefully the Devs will continue to improve them.

I updated yesterday to the latest version after long time, and suddenly I won the Dolomiti map for the first time :P...

The single player experience is terrible, bots can't even play as officers, and never will according to the devs in discord. If you want a better single player experience, get Verdun and Tannenberg.

Even as of now the bots are frustrating to fight. They pick you off instantly from hundreds of meters away after seeing you for half a second. They're harder than the "hard" bot setting of previous games. If we could still get xp and beat challenges on matches with custom settings then it would be fine since then you could change their difficulty to whatever you felt like you wanted at the time instead of having to play your A game 100% of the time and even then lose most matches because your bot teammates just can't carry out objectives.

The reason tht you dont gain exp with advanced settings is that it would take away from the whole challenge aspect. Remember, you can still gain exp playing singleplayer as long as you dont have these setttings on (:

There's "challenge" and then there's "so frustrating I can't bring myself to play the game."

The prior titles didn't have this issue my guy.

Seriously, has anyone even one an offensive in a bot match? Between me constantly getting sniped from across the map or through smoke and my team's bots being wholly unable to complete an objective it seems impossible.

Like this latest game. I went 21 and 7 and we lost on the first pair of objectives.
A not fun time I had next to no agency in.
