Is the game still alive and kicking?

Hi i put this in my wishlist back then and i have an urge to play some world war game atm, but i noticed the player base is already very low (Around 300s people only).
I am in SEAS region so yeah probably not as crowded as NA or EU, so is it still recommended for me to buy? Or the game is most likely dying?

Yes, still alive. I really enjoy the new gameplay systems and its popularity is decent right now.
If there's a time to buy and play, it's probably now. Wait a year or longer, and it'll probably start to fade, but even Verdun still has 1-2 servers online daily.

It's barely alive even in EU, so it has to be doing even worse in SEA. Not worth it unless you're ok with playing with bots.

Less than a month after launch and no one is playing already. As someone who enjoyed both Verdun and Tannenberg a lot this is saddening.

Devs seems to be unable to nail the formula to make game both unique and interesting , but also appealing for wider playerbase.

This is just false on every account. EU is alive and well and at any given moment you will find full and non full servers where to play.

It is irrelevant how many people play it. As long as there is a sufficient number to play. I always find someone to play with at any time.

You're more than likely to find a number of full matches. Especially during evenings and weekends. Come and join :D

Today was the first time I got matchmade in a bot game.
At first I thought "wow I'm doing pretty good", but then I checked the scoreboard and immediately knew 80% of the players were bots. I checked the server selection and there was only 2 full servers and two with 10 or 20 players. Which totals to what, 120 total players playing? Not even a month since release?
The game is done for.

The game is still plenty alive as long as there is at least one full server on one server. Everyone is just coping super hard because the game doesn't have a CoD or Battlefield player amount. They want to think their complaints about the game are justified.

Not on one region alone though. You need to switch regions for that. In EU after midnight CET (maybe 1am) you will most likely not have a full server anymore.

The thing what makes me worried the most is my region, even if EU still kicking it won't give me an advantage playing with 200 ping by accessing EU region because i feel like in SEAS the amount of players might be way lesser..

I might still try buy it and prove it myself i guess, if it's proven like i imagine then i'll just refund it..

Australian servers are basically dead. Shame as it's a great game. SEA would be worse I imagine, unless you are ok to deal with 200 ping playing on US or just solo with bots...

Back in the days after the release of Verdun, only EU and NA stayed populated after the initial few months. The other regions were dead pretty soon. As Isonzo sheds its active players much faster despite a higher initial peak it indeed wouldn't surprise me if only EU and NA are still viable. If there is still a dedicated player base for Oceania resp. SEA then the situation can be improved by organising game nights at a fixed time and day. Might be an option.

Many times of day it's difficult to find a proper server to join, at least in the EU. At the very least, you won't have much choice as to which map you will play nor being able to join in a fresh match.
So especially for those that play shorter sessions, it'll be difficult to really get into it. You'll also notice more servers dying down to not recover, after a match is finished.
