we played verdun and tannenberg a lot on all kind of platforms but mostly offline and we had a lot of fun.
now without offline progression its a no go. it would be perfect for the steam deck :(
EDIT:
Tested offline. works fine, got Xp, unlocks, Medals, Achievements.
you can even set offline in the server selection.
that was i was hoping for :)
Really appreciate the response! This completely changes my opinion on the game. If you don't mind me asking, what can be exploited by adjusting the additional options? surely changing the bots difficulty could be tied to how much xp is rewarded after a match? same with ability cooldown time, both reducing xp for easier and shorter and increasing xp for hard difficulty and the longer recharge time. Also, not sure the friendly fire mechanic should be locked behind the advanced options, as surely having it off as the base setting is an exploit in itself? How can i enjoy shooting my friends in the back if i know i'll get no experience from the battle? other than that, the game is incredible, and a big step up from the previous two. The entire team should be proud!
so please dont ruin the advanced game settings because of this^^
An easier fix without hurting those who play against bots, would be to adjust the amount of xp awarded for playing with easy, normal, and hard AI accordingly
Another middle ground would be to do something like Battlefront 2 did, and just have everything unlocked for offline play. That way you can't grind but you don't really need to grind.
