Ah, yes. I forgot about those settings. I think I'll get rid of them for now. Danke.
Oh, I forgot. I ALSO died from pathogens!
I discovered the cure for snake bite, after taking forever to collect what I needed to build a cooking pot and almost dying. Unfortunately, I wasn't anywhere near my camp, the first time I got pathogens from water, and couldn't collect what I needed for a new fire and cooking pot before I keeled over. Ugh.
Part of the problem is, I don't know how to bring potions with me. It seems like I can only drink them from the pot.
You can craft potion pots from gems and dead plants under surviability. Then after you cook the potion you want you can press Q to fill the potion pot that you can then carry with you. Under food you can then select it and consume it like you would food when you need to if you are poisoned or septic.
Good to know. Thanks!
This is pretty much my experience also. I was so looking forward to this game, and when I started playing, I have constantly been stressed and alert just to fill my bars (even with dangerous animals off). On top of that, I panic when I get lost, and I often get lost as I have no sense of orientation. IRL I never went anywhere without a map or later google maps. And I never played an open world game without a map. I read that a map was implemented, but you can't see where you are.
I would really love to play and enjoy this game, but the panic I felt after getting lost numerous times in the beginning still keeps me from picking it up again.
