Maybe that. Boost the playerbase. I waited years to get free on Epic, since it was Epic exclusive and other games like the Evil Dead game was free even before the 1 year exclusivity expired! Crime Boss was also "free" on Alienware Arena.

Yeah finding games is super quick for me, I think people forget it has crossplay with consoles.

Epic might have given the game for free but paid handsomly for it to the creators. This helps to boost the player base very quickly so they can fund a dlc or something new. World war z did that and it is still alive and running with new dlcs from time to time.

Plus the game is phenomenal. I got it for free in Epic and can t stop playing it. Haven t tried the predator yet but only because playing as a commando is so much fun and a thrill everytime you listen the creeking sound of the predator closing in.
