That's illfonic's m-o, bro..
it pains me that this game is so bad since i'm a big fan of the predator franchise
This people don't have the skill to program a predator bot. The AI in this game are some of the worst I've seen in any game, like ever.
I agree that, at the very LEAST, a SIngleplayer Mode should have been added, which Illfonic had adamantly been adverse to. (And deliberately adverse ass well, from the one comment I got form a Dev on the P:HG SubReddit. They said they wanted it to be PVP and they had no interest at all in adding a SInglplayer Mode, either at the beginning of the Project or now.)
I agree the game is "Effectively dead," but not so much as to the degree you indicate. Steam's numbers are misleading; PS4 Players carry the game on their back like Atlas of Olde, and Epic's players swoop in for support. Steam is the most unreliable numbers to indicate interest and--in my opinion--the least knowledgeable and devoted to the game. Steam's playerbase is largely fly-by-nighters who play the game on occasion or seek the Forum just to rail against it, or claim there's an Epic--heh heh--amount of Cheating without any Proof to back it up. (Or, conversely, offer tremendous praise and ignore the lacking elements of the game.) In general, the Steam playerbase is woefully Ignorant of the game's parameters, which leads many technical questions to either go unanswered altogether or to get snippy replies of "OFC it's broken! It sux!" Which is why I always refer them to the Predator: Hunting Grounds Sub-Reddit, where a large portion of the PRedditers are quite knowledgeable about the game.
Sometimes I think Steam Players buy the game and invest 30 Seconds in it just to say, "See! I TOLD you it Sucked!"
