For the developer: why did you rename "gender" to "body type"?

Are you also following the nonsensical trend of redefining the word "gender"? Since when this has become a problem? The choice of both genders is already inclusive of absolutely 100% of all human beings - what are you afraid of?

the one making it a problem is only you and yourself, you have to understand that not all bodies are shaped the same and that not all classes have two body types.

for exemple, here's no female body type for the Predator Alpha, Ancient, Samurai, Viking, City and Jungle Hunter, same thing about male body type for the Valkyrie and Cleopatra, all the mentionned have only one body type.

same thing for the Fireteam, the OWLF Agent is clearly a male by having only one body type and nobody gave a s*it about it, you're just showing us that you're the type of person that would throw a tantrum because the Dutches and Dante aren't having a female body type counterpart, so i'll do the same thing by asking you why Isabelle isn't having a male body part counterpart too.

and btw, like i said, we all have different body shapes, like not all males are muscular and not all females are looking like sticks, it's just that the game used realistic body standards of army-trained personnels.

you really should find better battles to fight on, like why our standard males can't get pilosity, i really want my commando to get a mustache, while you're still into making peoples learning the basic understanding of biology --'

you're lucky that they've rather did one body type for each gender (so, only two gender) than letting us to do our own shapes like the ones we're able to do in MMORPG games that are more focused on the character customization than the gameplay and story, or just like that Ark game which allow us to do disproportional popeye-like shapes :/

My problem is the pointless renaming of gender into a generic "body type" for obvious politically-correct reasons. As you said, "body type" makes much more sense when referred to the build of the body, such as thin, muscular, etc. - not having a gendered counter-part is not the same thing.

The problem is that the Party of the Permanently Offended is pushing to redefine the meaning of the word gender, and object to it being used in its originally meaning, that is, as a synonym of sex.

I have a job, in fact I have two. And this affects the culture, it redefines the meaning of established words in the collective mindset and passively helps to push gender ideology to everyone.

Female predators are much bigger than males, it's lore. All predators we see in game are the same size/height, so according to the lore they are all males :) There are literally no different genders of prefators in this game, only different body types.
So developers understood that they used wrong term for this customisation field which is conflictiong with lore.
It's simple. If you see insult and 'noncence' everythere it's not everyone issue.

It's not "neutral language". It renamed "gender" with "body type" despite the two words meaning two different things. It also renamed "male" and "female" with "body type 1 & 2".

eh.. because there's no hard definitions of gender, you can imagine whatever you want for your character.. I played many MMOs in the early 2000s that didn't have gender options, only appearance options and no one complained about it back then.. and neutral means being unbiased and not leaning towards a specific side.. uh.. does that really need further explanation?
