this game is going to go downhill so fast if they dont fix the crossplay. only got the game to play with my homie on xbox and now its been days and we still havent played together. disappointing

so my friend who also plays on Xbox and I found the solution. Granted it's extremely dumb because the way they have done the crossplay is so extremely convoluted but basically your friend has to make an Epic Games account. The problem lies in how they are going to add you as a friend because if they don't have a computer with the Epic Games launcher, there is no other way to add as a friend unless you get their Epic Games login and password. There is no way of going on the Epic Games website and adding someone. Multi-million dollar company making money on Fortnite can't implement a way to add friends over their website. So once that part is done then the crossplay is pretty seamless and you'll be able to play with your Xbox friend with no issue.

Im on PC and my sister is on PS5, we're friends on epic and still not able to play together ;-;
