People are still playing it, but uh...yeah this game is not in good shape.

This game actually memed me into playing DbD finally. I'm sad this game didn't go so well, but I feel I got my fun out of it during the advanced access. I tried playing last night and kept getting into bot matches which are horribly boring.

normal people were working at the hour you created your post tho.
Last night at 1am there was a peak around 20k viewers on twitch.
Theres like 8k viewers on average everyday.

next to this, im playing everyday and I don't wait more than 20 sec to be in a match and still having a lot of fun like other people seems to have.
Why being that much concerned about statistics instead of chilling out and enjoying your time in the game?

this game was able to do what dbd hasn't been able to do for a long time and will never do again: having fun

Im able to get a match in under 30 seconds consistently. Thats all that matters to me, finding a game.

Twitch viewership has nothing to do with the concurrent players who are actually in game. This game peaked at about 4k players and has been consistently around 2k on PC. Sometimes much lower. Keep in mind, these numbers are just counting people who have the client open so they may not even be actively playing.

This doesn't bode well when similar games in the genre have had much higher initial player counts and still died relatively early. I had my fun with it, but I think it's over for me and a lot of other people and there's not really a future for this game. That sucks, but...it happens. I did have fun with it though.

If you thought this was boring and went to DBD... idk man. DBD might put you into a boredom coma since it's content is as vast as an ocean and as deep as a puddle.

There are dozens of characters with tons of perks and items and customization. There's a unique strategy for each character you play as or play against. Lots of maps with different layouts. Also, tons of licensed bad guys who I like. Compared to every other game in the genre, DbD is as deep as it gets and it's not going anywhere any time soon. I think it's pretty fun.

I also don't think Killer Klowns is boring. I think bot matches are boring because the AI is bad.

Is this some new mental disorder? Pleasure in having random games fail?

That's funny because DBD players who were tired of DBD are now playing it and loving it. Check the reviews, but you're a goose and geese aren't very smart so I figured you would say some stuff like that XD

I played over 2,000 hours of DBD, it is not as diverse as you think. Many killers can be paired into 3-4 different categories on their playstyle and how to beat them. All survivors are the same, and if you do end up using a non meta perk, you better win because the randoms will blame any loss on you a good chunk of the time. Also, you'll be reported just for playing the game how you want. Survivor is the same game play through and through though. I played the game in the beginning, stopped last year, never had to truly change my strategy for killer or survivor. Survivor was always the easier class for me though. I played it in between killer games to chill out. Survivors have one objective and one way to leave, occasionally you loop a killer through jungle gyms and save other teammates. DBD isn't deep though, just looks deep, but the skill ceiling is low. Once you get about 50-100 hours in, you know the game.

Come on man, if we attack people who don't like the game, then the community will just get smaller. Attack DBD all you want, I've put enough hours in that game to know it just kills your mental health, but don't attack the guy. Ad hominins tend to just put fuel on the fire and makes us look like a DBD forum/subreddit/comment section.
