Reduce the range, and make it so you can't reload and sprint. Klown is already easy enough even without relying on that.
Humans can already do everything while they're sprinting. Besides, Klowns are significantly slower.

the reason people are saying it needs nerfed is because its literally the only weapon thats viable in chase. Even then an energy drink just hard counters it lol. I dont know if it needs nerfed or if other weapons need buffed. But it is good compared to everything else.

Ignore this troll.

He literally just yesterday was saying it needs nerfed not today it doesn't.

I blocked him for being rude but for some reason I can see him today. Blocked again I guess.:steamfacepalm:

Absolutely. Klownz should not be getting most of their kills from insta kills, and the Popcorn gun lets them force it.

The intention (I imagine) is that getting your health reduced to zero as a human is punishment for failing to kill the Klownz with melee weapons. Because the Klownz typically can only deal damage in melee.

Don't want to run out of HP and get instant killed? Just run away. Humans easily out-pace the Klownz, so they are forced to bring out their ranged capture tools. About to be captured? Run back in with a melee weapon, and hit them till they swap to melee. You take a bit of damage, but the chase re-sets with you running out of weapon durability and having reduced health for next time.

...

Except the popcorn gun is a ranged secondary, going entirely against everything I just said. It lets Klownz can get downs from ranged chasing, regardless of what you try to do as a Human. Completely shifting what would be an otherwise well thought-out system into one favoring the killer in every situation.

Capture progress rapidly resets, hp doesn't. That makes it better than most primaries, because every chip damage matters.

*Edit:* I will also throw in that it isn't supposed to be used the way players are using it. It's the default of the tracking class, and applies a temporary tracker. If I were the devs, I would replace the balloon dog ability with a limited ammo Popcorn gun that has a longer tracking duration.

Well melee klowns still suck, because they can't catch victims for one, and for another any decent human player can probably beat down a klown 1 on 1, but once you get 2 on 1, it's not even in question, the klown is getting slammed. So...there's not much other weapons for them to use realistically at the moment.

It's not that the gun is great, try using it sometime, you'll see how low damage it is unless you're at like point blank range, it's just that it's the only thing that's even reasonably effective at the moment.

Of course the argument seems to be, as always happens in these games, that humans need to be OP as F, and klowns can't do anything about it, and that's "balanced" in a lot of people's minds. And then these games always get to the point where nobody wants to play killers, the lobbies are jammed packed full of victims, and everybody acts like they don't understand why they have to wait 20 minutes to find a game anymore.

I'm already level 50, the lobbies I am in, everyone uses Popcorn Bazooka. It's impossible to get away at that point when they are shooting you with the gun long range even if it does little damage, they will catch up eventually. Every lobby the Klowns win, including the ones where I am a Klown. Taking each person out 1 by 1. Invisible Car, let's you catch up and even stun the human. Sure you could say humans need to team up to take down a Klown, but when you are playing with randoms and not with a party, that is very unlikely to happen and for humans, guns are very weak compared to melee weapons. I'd even say using the TOUGH class gives no benefits to strength either to take down a Klown as each human class all seem to take down a Klown the same amount of hits. In my opinion, I believe low level games, the game is a bit more balanced but when you've unlocked everything, Klowns just dominate because of the Popcorn Bazooka. Now pair the Popcorn with the Brawler class for Klowns too, you're not getting away. I'd say it either needs a nerf or humans need a bit more survivability.

Well yes, but Klowns have alot more mobility to catch up at a higher level.
