I was dumbfounded when they decided to make a show out of the game, but even more so when I saw the trailer. what an absolute travesty that show is. It makes me hope that there won't ever be a new Twisted Metal game because if a developer were to release it nowadays, it'll probably be bright and bubbly like Fortnite. (now that I said that, I'm pretty sure they won't have the Twisted Metal: Black version of Sweet Tooth put in it. They'll probably have the Twisted Metal 3 version, or the Twisted Metal 1 verison.)
Sweet tooth actually appears in a few different games like PayDay 2 (just the mask), Rocket League (the actual truck) and a few games that most people probably never heard of. Him being added to this game wouldn't make sense, but I suppose it'll bring them some money. then they could go crazy if it works out and add in I.T and maybe John Wayne Gacy. Ronald Mcdonald too... and maybe Krusty the clown lmao.
I think in the long run, it'll be better if they don't add anything from outside and have this be its own thing.
