Is this a game or a story?
So I am wondering, I only watched a few minutes of this title. But I got really annoyed by the reading, I just saved and quit. Is this a game or a click through the story? Does it even matter or are we meant to read until the end????

It's a visual novel. So yes there is reading in the game. There are choices which affect the ending you'll get. Other then that it is purely kinetic.

To bad, your idea is awesome but because it is a novel, and the only thing is text to read I don't want to go through the novel. The story seems good to be an A+ game, the hook with horror and anime hits the spot many will love. But why isn't this a game?? Point & Click, interaction with object and choices in dialogue.... more like little puzzles the solves making choices matter for the end. If you ever remake your novel into this game I would jump on it and play for hours... The downside right now is the store page it sells as a game, and it is better to sell it as an interactive novel

Dude! That's what a visual novel is lol.

I think the OP is either confused because they've never heard of a visual novel before or they don't acknowledge that it is a genre of game. The store page accurately labels this game exactly for what it is and there are tens of thousands of other visual novels on Steam.

Visual novels are usually just text, pictures, and music. The "game" part is in choosing between branching options to alter the story. Sometimes there's animations or voice acting, but even that's optional. You don't assume there's minigames or other gameplay mechanics unless the store page explicitly says there is.

Nobodies dumb and no one needs to argue or fight here. (I should shut up, but just saying)

@VlaagNo.1 This isn't a "kinetic novel" (KN= you just read) which means you have actual choices to make.

So, yeah, there is a lot of reading, hence the "novel" part, but you also get choices (call it the "game" part, idk) and the story will unfold being tailored to your choices (endings, scenes, what or what does not happen etc)

Shame you refunded the game (I see you don't have a mouse icon but did put a couple mins into it) but since you don't really like reading, I guess that's fine and your choice.

Anyways, I said my peace while trying to keep the peace. Hope you find a game with less reading. I would avoid "Novels" of any type.
